Volunteering

We need volunteers!

The Mytchett Community Association is a charity that provides rooms, sporting facilities and local community events.  Click on the button to become a volunteer.

Although we have staff to operate the core services we need volunteers to

• Help at events like firework night, Fun Day, Christmas Fayre

  • setup and clear up; run a stall; car park marshall​; etc

• Maintain the centre

  • gardening,

  • painting,

  • cleaning,

  • repairs

• Organise or run community events

• Support services at the centre like the Food bank and Pay-it-forward cafe

• Raise funds for improvements and maintenance

• Find raffle prizes and sponsors from local and national businesses 

• Market our services and events to the community

• Recruit new members

• Recruit new clubs, groups and societies

• Specialist skills

• Be a committee member (regularly meeting)

• Be a charity trustee for the Association

We don't receive funding or grants unless we successfully apply for them, so most costs are covered by hiring the facilities, event income and from any profits of the social club.​​​
